Im Juli 2017 lädt das EU REFRESH Projekt für einen Zeitraum von 3 Wochen zur Teilnahme an einer VerbraucherInnenumfrage ein. Ziel ist es verschiedene Informationen, die auf Lebensmittel- und Getränkeverpackungen zu finden sind und deren Effekte auf Konsumverhalten zu untersuchen. Die Umfrage konzentriert sich auf die vier REFRESH-Pilotländer: Niederlande, Deutschland, Spanien und Ungarn.

With the World Food Convention, the German newspaper Tagesspiegel is organizing an international, high level event on 22 June 2017 in Berlin. 500 participants from policy, industry, diplomacy, NGOs as well as science and academia will discuss the most pressing issues of global food production and distribution.
The German PWP proceeds as planned: Thirteen representatives from retail, industry, NGO, science and associations came together on April 6 to discuss the aggregated findings of individual baseline activities as well as next steps for pilot projects.

This will be implemented through effective measures, especially those that do not stem from legal necessities. Im zweiten Treffen des Steering Committees Wirtschaftsengagement Deutschland haben die teilnehmenden Organisationen das Framework for Action (FA) fertig gestellt, das dazu beitragen soll, in den kommenden Jahren Lebensmittelverluste und –abfälle signifikant zu reduzieren. Mit dem Dokument haben die Teilnehmenden eine sehr gute Grundlage, um Pilotprojekte in allen relevanten Stufen der Wertschöpfungskette zu definieren.
In the 2nd meeting of the German Business Engagement Steering Committee meeting, the participating organizations finalized the Framework for Action (FA) to combat food waste across the whole value chain. With this document we have an excellent basis to define projects to reduce food waste at the relevant food value chain stages.
At this conference, national and international representatives of governments, science, civil society and businesses are invited to discuss in plenaries and dialogue forums and to contribute ideas and approaches to move forward with SDG implementation in Germany and internationally. The conference will focus on partnerships and the need to sustainably manage natural resources and change consumption and production patterns. The conference features a dialogue forum on food waste.
Das erste Treffen der REFRESH Pilotplattform Deutschland fand am 2. Februar 2016 in Wuppertal statt. Vertreter und Verterinnen von 14 Organisationen diskutierten über den aktuellen Umgang mit Lebensmittelabfällen in Deutschland. Darunter waren Vertreter und Verterinnen aus der Nahrungsmittelindustrie, dem Einzelhandel, von Bundesministerien und der Zivilgesellschaft.
