A fecha de Febrero de 2017, las 16 organizaciones participantes en la Plataforma REFRESH española ya han firmado el Marco de Acción que regirá su compromiso de lucha contra el desperdicio alimentario durante los próximos 2 años.

In early 2017 the first actIvity of the pilot project "Gastrofira" has been completed. Food waste generated by the catering service of Feria de Barcelona (trade fair organisation) was quantified during an international event. Food waste data from kitchen and dining room has been gathered in order to establish a baseline for upcoming events’ reduction interventions.

February 2017, 16 organizations signed the Spanish REFRESH Platform Framework for Action showing their commitment to fight against food waste over the next 2 years.

Fight Food Waste through innovation and let us use technology to solve the problem of food waste we are facing all over the world. From 21 April to 23 April everyone is invited to participate with innovative ideas for apps or websites that could help tackle food waste in the Czech Republic.

Wastewatchers and Transition Surplus Food Project were selected as winners by the expert jury, and Zero Waste Aiud gathered over 17,000 votes to win the Public Award!

This report aims to consolidate existing and new consumer understandings at the in-home level into a research framework and methodology that allows comparison across countries. The report contains the REFRESH best practice to measure household level food waste.

This report provides the methodological background needed to identify and measure the most important socio-economic conditions and potential policy interventions driving businesses’ and consumers’ choices in the generation of food waste, using a behavioural economics approach.

Voting is now open for the Public Award of the REFRESH Food Waste Solution Contest! The REFRESH Food Waste Solution Contest was launched in 2016 and received over fifty project submissions from across Europe. The aim of the contest is to recognize groundbreaking projects and ideas addressing food waste.
