The event brings together rural development researchers from South Eastern Europe. It covers various rural development issues presented by prominent keynote speakers, and includes several presentations with a more regional focus. One of the outputs of the Establishing Rural Development Network project is the Research Rural Development Network (RRDN) Contact Book, an initial attempt to list these researchers. Prof. Dr. Matteo Vittuari, from the University of Bologna, Italy will hold a presentation about sustainable food systems. The title of the presentation is "Food system sustainability: The complex challenge of food waste".
