On 19 March 2018, the concluding conference of the BMBF-funded research project REFOWAS (Ways to REduce FOod WAste) will take place in Berlin.
With its Agenda 2030, the German government has committed itself to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which call under Objective 12.3 to halve food waste at retail and consumption level by 2030 and to reduce food losses - including post-harvest losses - along the entire value chain. Strategies, guidelines and options for the efficient reduction of food losses are therefore of great importance. The project results will be presented and discussed at the REFOWAS final conference.
