The third meeting of the national Pilot Working Platform (PWP) took place on 06/10/2016 at the CSCP’s premises in Wuppertal. Representatives from retail, the food industry, ministries at federal and national level as well as civil society organizations agreed upon five priority topics to tackle with a number of collaborative projects from 2017 on. The chosen work areas are: consumers, retail, out-of-home, producers and the supply chain and particularly all the interfaces between them. Related possible pilot projects were discussed and ranked according to their potential impact.  Decisions on concrete activities will be taken in the coming weeks.

Particularly welcomed were the contributions from new guests from German retail and civil society organisations, as they underline the attractiveness of the REFRESH business engagement activities to jointly tackle food waste along the entire value chain.
