The shift from a linear to a circular model requires a total reshuffle of the way we produce, sell and consume resources in our economy. This high-level conference will showcase cutting-edge retail and wholesale market solutions for a more circular economy, how to scale those up and how regulation can enable fast deployment. The transition towards a circular economy is a tremendous opportunity for the retail and wholesale sector to invest in innovation and research, and to create new business models.

Speakers will include Janez Potocnik, former EU Commissioner, Co-Chair of the UN International Resource Panel, Daniel Calleja Crespo, DG Environment, European Commission, Brune Poirson (tbc), Secretary of State, attached to the French Minister for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, MEP Adina Ioana Valean and MEP Kathleen Van Brempt.

The programme includes a presentation on the implementation of France's Circular Economy roadmap and 4 panel discussions on circular economy in specific value chains. These will feature industry leaders from Carrefour, IKEA, METRO, BGA, FCD and Virke.
