The conference will include a UK perspective on approaches towards food waste behaviour change from Resource London, and a European perspective from Brussels Environment and Wageningen University & Research. There will be representatives from a range of sectors, including academics, retailers and the third sector. With a focus on consumer engagement, representatives from East of England Co-op will discuss the role of supermarkets in reducing household food waste, whilst representatives from The London Community Foundation will discuss the Evening Standard Dispossessed Fund and make links between food waste prevention and surplus food redistribution in the UK. The afternoon workshop, open to all delegates, will aim to put learning from the morning session into practice by exploring priorities when devising a waste prevention programme.
