In February 2018, the Hungarian National Steering Committee met again. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Agriculture, and all members of the Steering Committee were present at the meeting. The Steering Committee reviewed the projects and the cooperation among the projects coordinated by the Committee.
At the meeting, the participants found that the projects are moving forward as planned. The participants presented their future plans regarding the current projects, and plans for new projects were also mentioned.
The main international news and events related to food waste were presented at the meeting, too, such as the outcome of the latest meetings of the EU Food Waste Platform, the EU Food Donation Guidelines, the EU Waste Directive and the Czech Republic’s new law on food waste.
The recently launched international knowledge bases on food waste, such as the REFRESH Community of Experts and the one initiated by the EU Food Waste Platform, were also introduced.
